Hypothesis: We thought that when the mentos went into the coke that something would make it explode!
Materials: A two liter bottle of Diet coke, mentos, tube & index card, measuring tape
Procedures: We put the mentos into the tube with the paper covering it so it won't fall in, then we pulled the paper and the mentos fell into the diet coke and it erupts. THen we measured it!
Results: A little over 8 feet , but two menots fell out!
Conclusion: The eruptions works great with mint menthos and diet coke The mints and the diet coke has different tastes, the bubbles makes your tongue feel fizzy. We need CO2 to do this experiment!

Hypothesis: We believe that diet coke and mentos will erupt and come back down like a volcano
Materials: Liter of Diet Coke and ten mentos, a mentos shoot
Procedure: Put mentos into tube, flipped it over a card, put it on top of the open bottle, then we pull card out and let the mentos drop in.
Results:The diet coke shoot up about 8 1/2 feet into the air
Conclusion: CO2 is not in the diet coke anymore/ the combination of diet coke and mentos had a big effect/ because.....

it was a great experiment,at the end we thought of different ways to make it go higher
